MoSeS4eGov – Model-based Security System for eGovernment
In the MoSeS4eGov project we are developing model-based technologies for simplifying the creation and integration of applications in eGovernment systems
Current eGovernment systems are characterized by a multitude of applications and many different applications and have to interface all sorts of backend IT systems. The integration and orchestration of existing eGovernment services to build new applications while still ensuring the high security standards that are required in this domain is a major obstacle for both service providers and consumers.
In the MoSeS4eGov project we are developing model-based technologies for simplifying the creation and integration of applications in eGovernment systems. The main focus is on the combination of modelling the business requirements together with the security requirements. Another goal of the project is the application of the developed technologies in a pilot application for emergency management.
After specifying the use cases in detail at the start of the project a risk analysis is performed to identify the main threats and counter measures. Based on that tools for integrating the security requirements in the modelling process of eGovernment applications are adapted and developed. The technology is then evaluated by implementing a prototype application. In parallel to these activities an interface simulation component for validating eGovernment components is developed.
